What is the best lure for Crappie fishing?
Also are lures better or minnows for Crappie? I live in Texas if that matters. I went out the other day and was using jigs and we caught Bass but no Crappie.
Kiet: I agree Road Runners are all I use. Except the occasionall crank bait but that is very rare.

Thanks everyone great answers. I rarely catch Crappie but the bass love the jigs I use problem is the bass are always just under legal limit about a quarter inch. LOL. Or right at legal limit but I prefer not to keep them unless they are at least a half inch to an inch over the limit. the reason is I got a fine several years ago and I know the fish were legal but they were catfish and right at 12 inches but the game warden siad that 12 inches and under was illegal but the law says you can keep them at 12, so I just make sure my fish are over the legal size limit and not at the legal limit.
It depends on how they feel that day. Sometimes fake baits are better than live baits.
