i cant catch any fish off a saltwater dock what bait should i use or what lure should i use?? someone please?
When fishing a stationary dock it’s important to “chum” to attract fish.
A quick and easy chum?
Dry “fish flavored” cat food/bread crumbs mixed with mud. Make mud-balls out of the mixture and deposit along and around your property. This will attract baitfish/grass Shrimp, Pinfish, Etc ,and in turn, bring Gamefish to your area.
Make sure to deposit them at LOW TIDE or at the end of Low Tide.
If you do this 1 thing you will get more action around your dock!
Also- Live Shrimp, Live Mud-minnows, Live Mullet, Live Pogey are your “best bet” for catching gamefish. (The guy that said shiners, “Shinners”, is incorrect. Shiners are freshwater fish. Unless your in the extreme NE region of the States, NO-ONE sells live “Bloodworms” below the “Mason/Dixon” line; you would have to dig your own; a rather NASTY job!) Use a float rig with a 1/0 live bait hook and live Shrimp. See what happens!
