Salmon Fishing In Alaska – Tips On Getting The Fresh Breed

Alaska is generally considered to be top among the most excellent places to fish for salmon and this makes it perfect for fishing expeditions.

Chinook salmon live up to 5-7 years on average.
The colour of the flesh varies from deep red to ivory white.
This species is also commonly referred to as tyee, tule, mouth/kings quinnat and springs.
2. The Silver Salmon, also called as Coho, is a little smaller and weighs about 8-12 pounds.
These species spawn in small streams between July and November.
3. The Sockeye salmon is probably the most waned due its deep red flesh and the rich flavor and firmness of its flesh.
While salmon fishing in Alaska, you need to have the required equipment and be properly attired to survive the elements.
